Date: Monday January 20, 2025 5:30-7:30 p.m.
On Jan. 20, join us for an evening of conversation and connection over a delicious meal at the Canmore Miner’s Union Hall. The third Monday in January is known as Blue Monday, the alleged “most depressing day of the year.” This conversation will focus on grief and loss, and any other feelings that might be coming up at this time of year. In our society, everyone experiences grief and loss, whether it be loss of loved ones, relationships, jobs, housing, or dreams that haven’t worked out. Everyone’s thoughts and experiences around loss are different. Let’s come together to have an intentional conversation about a topic that’s often skirted around or avoided altogether. Community Conversations are an opportunity to practice communication styles grounded in sharing and learning as opposed to debating or convincing. This conversation is for people from all walks of life: we are committed to making Community Conversations a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all. A free, healthy dinner will be provided.
