Wilderness Wanderers

Wilderness Wanderers is a un-parented nature-based program for children in Grades 2 - 3. This program is an opportunity for kids to build confidence and curiosity about exploring nature. Children will participate in a guided forest scavenger hunt and free play opportunities to discover the wonders of nature and learn about safety, wildlife, and environmental stewardship.
Facilitated by The Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley, a skilled instructor will lead you on local trail while providing engaging and educational activities, creating a safe and comfortable environment to build skills and meet others in the community.

What to bring: Closed-toed, comfortable walking shoes or rain boots depending on the weather. A peanut-free snack and water and a backpack to carry items. Children will be required to dress for the weather and are encouraged to bring layers and a change of clothing. The trail may include include uneven ground and muddy areas.

A completed Minor Acknowledgement of Risk Waiver and Pickup Authorization Form are required to attend this program. Please complete both of these forms upon registering.
